@supernintendogames1 There are male characters, but the only one who is human, who has an official design, and who has an official name, is the only one who counts. His name is Rinnosuke Morichika. It’s believed, due to how ZUN, the creator of Touhou, isn’t a very good artist, that in the same way he can’t draw older females, he can’t draw males. Rinnosuke hasn’t appeared in any of the games yet, either. Just in some of the mangas.

@jgavins1 that’s a similar concept that could have been made of the way of the goth. but look what happened. it became popular to be different and by becoming popular it became the norm. everything has a price, and even if we are all not willing to pay it, we have no choice. if touhou becomes popular enough to make an anime out of, then it will mean little that our individuality has been lumped together with the trash that is the norm. fans or not, in the end they sell what we want.
